‘Till the End of Time’ (기다린 만큼, 더) is a song by indie act The Black Skirts (검정치마) in Part 7 of the series of OST’s for the 2016 Korean drama ‘Another Miss Oh’ (또 오해영).
Even without knowing the meaning behind the lyrics, you can feel the sense of deep dejection in the artist’s voice – from the opening line, you know this is not a song with a ‘happily ever after’ ending.
Lyrics seem to be that of a person who is frustrated and angry (‘Why are you this cold to me’) but at the same time someone who is trying to hold back those emotions because of their polite nature and how much they care about the other (‘If I did I apologize’). The lyrics are short, but it’s clear from the song how precious the other person is to him.
Please note: The translation below is based on my own interpretation of the lyrics and is not an official English translation of the song provided by the artist.
Translated lyrics to ‘Till the End of Time’ (기다린 만큼, 더)
Why are you this cold to me
Was love something you could fall out of so easily
Did I do something wrong
If I did I apologize
Do you feel bad for me
That I want to be by your side no matter what
If you feel the same would you hold me
If you do please answer me
The painful wounds that you’ve been hiding
Please give them all to me
So you can be sad without getting tired
Keep me a little closer to you
I can actually wait longer
than I’ve been waiting now
Somehow I feel this moment
could be our last now
I can actually wait longer
than I’ve been waiting now
Somehow I feel this moment
could be our last now
